El mítico foro El Plaza ha sido clausurado por el gobierno capitalino luego de que su investigación resultara en que el inmueble cuenta con un alto riesgo debido a su daño estructural luego de los sismos de 2017 en la Ciudad de México.
No solo El Plaza resultó afectado por este siniestro natural, pues la gran mayoría de comercios aledaños al edificio también fueron clausurados por la misma razón, pues suponen un riesgo para la población.
El escenario fue encargado de albergar a miles de artistas de talla mundial y nacional, así como de ver crecer a bandas locales que fueron escalando poco a poco, y también para ser un recinto íntimo por su reducido aforo de 2100 personas.
Solo por mencionar algunas, y para recordar aquellos ratos de gratos momentos, El Plaza recibió a artistas como Nine Inch Nails, Blur, Beach House, Café Tacvba, Rihanna, Morrisey, Phoenix, Porter, The Hives entre muchos otros nombres más.
