El encierro gracias al COVID-19 obligó a parar todo, frenar de golpe tu día a día es un proceso difícil, pues no todos nos sabemos adaptar a este nuevo estilo de vida que al día de hoy seguimos luchando por adaptarnos, este virus afectó en todo sentido a la posibilidad de disfrutar música nueva en vivo, hecho que afectó a millones de artistas, todos tuvimos que parar, aunque sí lo vemos por el lado amable, miles de artistas tomaron este tiempo sin presentaciones para adentrarse en el estudio, tomar sus instrumentos, sus micrófonos y comenzar a brindarnos material muy valioso, pero hay uno que destaca en particular gracias a su concepto, te hablo de Tres Puntos Suspensivos (2020), el disco de elecciones hacia un camino incierto de WOS.

La importancia de tocar el tema sobre la pandemia para darle introducción a este disco es de vital importancia, hay que recordar que fue en 2019 cuando WOS se adentró de lleno a la industria musical con su primer LP, Caravana (2019), que no sólo fue un éxito en tendencias, también lo fue en reconocimiento, llevándose múltiples premios y una nominación prematura a los Latin Grammy.

El 2019 fue el año de WOS, cerrando el año de la mejor forma, llenando dos veces seguidas el Luna Park, vendiendo todas las entradas en 15 horas. Con esto como preámbulo, todos esperábamos ver el 2020 de WOS, un rapero que gracias a su estilo tan único, complejo y referencial sería el diamante en bruto de la música Argentina, con fechas confirmadas por todo el globo terrestre, WOS y todos los que creíamos en su proyecto venía a lo grande, a llevarse el mejor año de su carrera, pero de la nada, todo cambió, gracias a un virus con el que seguimos luchando, dando así, una pausa para el tan esperado año de WOS.

Un miedo colectivo; presentado de forma cronológica

El virus nos obligó a frenar, pero no ponerle pausa a lo que hacemos, es ahí donde WOS decide adentrarse a la experimentación de un nuevo formato en la música, el famoso EP, que actúa bastante diferente a los Singles o LP, un single puede ser un adelanto para lo que será un material, mientras que un LP es un trabajo más grande, el EP en este medio actúa como una pausa, un punto medio entre la carrera de WOS, con este EP podemos ver y adentrarnos más en su juego mental, siendo este un experimento más pasional y puro.

Entrando puramente en Tres Puntos Suspensivos (2020), la portada del disco podemos ver a un monstruo convertido en humano balanceándose sobre la ciudad, merodeando en la noche, con sus ojos negros, lo que podemos comprender como lo desconocido, aquello que no vemos, que no decimos, que no le contamos a nadie, o bien, lo dejamos en tres puntos suspensivos. Ese monstruo aterra la ciudad, pero la ciudad no sabe quién es el monstruo que los aterra, bien podría ser una clara referencia al virus.

Como es de esperarse, OJERAS TRISTES la canción más triste y sin ánimos del EP, donde Valentín Oliva nos deja ver que ha perdido toda esperanza del mundo, de que no hay nada más allá de morir, que de tantas elecciones que se tienen en la vida, morir es la única que ve dentro del mar de elecciones que lo abruman, con un video digital donde las figuras tratan de igualar la realidad humana, como lo dice en la propia canción, siendo una «Vorágine de una ciudad sin sentimientos«. Es una canción que narra la vida de noche dentro de la depresión y la ansiedad. «Chico claro, ojeras negras, toma luz de luna«, esta frase nos narra el cómo Valentín se desvela pensando y pensando en qué elecciones tomar; ¿Qué hacer dentro de tanto? Es tanto lo que debe de hacer que termina tan cansado que no puede dormir, y su única compañía muchas veces es la luna, en aquellas noches de insomnio donde la ansiedad le gana al sueño.

Dentro de un mundo lleno de tantas elecciones, tantas variantes y tantas cosas por hacer, el protagonista de esta historia decide amar en ALMA DINAMITA, ceder su cariño, tiempo y deseo hacia su enamorada. El actor principal de esta historia hace muchas referencias de cómo es esa persona a la cual decide amar, haciendo un puñado de reflexiones hacia esa persona y de cómo cambió la visión de Valentín. Se puede ver directamente en el video, cambiando de escenas digitales a blanco y negro, tratando de descifrar algo; después lo vemos a color, dentro de un transe. Esto es claro. Muchas veces el amor nos hace verle los colores a la vida, cambiamos nuestra perspectiva de la misma. Este juego de elecciones se declina por el amor en su segunda parte.

40 nos habla del tiempo el cual todos estamos viviendo, una época de confinamiento, donde salir se volvió un juego de ruleta de rusa. Nuestro protagonista quedó atrapado dentro de una cuarentena obligatoria, no puede salir, está atrapado, y como lo menciona Valentín, «Ya hice lo que tengo que hacer, ya hice lo que no tengo que hacer«. Lo anterior refiriéndose a lo que muchos de nosotros hicimos durante la pandemia, muchos cambiamos nuestro estilo, muchos aprendimos nuevas cosas por hacer durante la misma, ya habíamos hecho todo lo que teníamos que hacer, como la entrega de trabajos escolares, trabajo y demás actividades desde casa, solo quedaba hacer aquello que no hacemos, una canción que narra el miedo de la gente por salir. «Si salgo la puedo quedar«.

Llegamos al final de la travesía en ALGO DEL VACÍO. A este punto, ya pasó por cada proceso de la vida: Se sintió triste, se enamoró, vivió inclusive una pandemia durante este lapso de vida y elecciones que lo fueron llevando hacia un lugar. Sólo queda la parte final del viaje, uno cargado de aceptación, melancolía y esperanza de una cierta forma con un toque alto de incertidumbre. «La vida es una cuerda y no soy buen equilibrista» resulta un pensamiento que tenemos la mayoría recurrentemente, pues sabemos vivir, sabemos que a eso venimos, pero no siempre conocemos el objetivo. ALGO DEL VACÍO actúa como ese mensaje de soltura ante todo el estrés, depresión y ansiedad que cargó durante el trayecto que fue Tres Puntos Suspensivos (2020), sabe que no queda más allá de la muerte. Todo lo que decían de él sale a flor de piel, de todo lo malo y bueno que se contó sobre WOS. Desde aquí, nos muestra el lado más real de él mismo, «Ahora confieso que escucho eso que quieren decirme, sus palabras me afectan, pero no le definen«, haciendo una analogía a que los comentarios malos siempre estarán ahí, siempre habrá gente que no se canse de criticar o atacar, y realmente esto no te definirá como persona. Al final, lo único seguro que tenemos a la hora de vivir, es que vamos a morir, cerrando con este mensaje el EP.

Introspectivo y bastante humano

Día a día tomamos bastantes decisiones, todas ellas impactan de una forma fuerte nuestro entorno y todo aquello que tiene algo que ver con nosotros, desde las amistades que elegimos o de la persona de la cual decidimos sentir amor, odio o indiferencia. Este EP se centra en el existencialismo de la persona, en que cada una de las decisiones tomadas van formándonos como personas dentro de este juego llamado vida, un juego que puede ser cruel, o puede ser muy dulce, todo esto depende de nosotros.

Tres Puntos Suspensivos (2020) marca un camino, que lleva hacia un único final, del cual nadie se puede librar. Nos hace entender que todas las elecciones, todos los caminos, todos los ríos y baches cruzados solo nos llevarán hacia la muerte, y esto es algo que al final de cuentas no vamos a poder cambiar, y que debemos de entender, aceptar e irlo sobrellevando. Debemos de vivir el día a día, y elegir lo mejor posible para nosotros, pues no hay un desenlace que no termine en nuestra muerte.
