Jant, músico independiente de la escena alternativa en Mérida Yucatán, ha estrenado su primer video musical, del sencillo “Tiempo”. El video narra microhistorias que suceden simultáneamente en el universo, tratándose de una representación visual del tiempo y lo que sucede durante su imparable transcurso: la vida misma. Aborda una perspectiva a detalle sobre sucesos particulares, como los ciclos de vida en la naturaleza, hasta revelar una visión panorámica del planeta entero.
De esta manera, el mensaje es una paradoja de lo diminutos que somos y del gran impacto que puede tener una decisión o acción nuestra. La representante del músico comentó que el video final no se parece en nada a la idea original, ya que fue cambiando la manera en la que él quería que sus espectadores lo percibirán.
“Primero utilizamos pantalla verde, para mezclar animación con tomas reales, en las cuales aparecía Jaint tocando, pero todo eso se descartó, ya que el objetivo de ‘Tiempo’ giró en torno a concientizar a las personas; sacudirlas un poquito y decirles ‘¡Hey!, todo esto está pasando en el planeta, no sólo estás tú, así que piensa bien en qué y cómo quieres invertir tu tiempo’”.
“Tiempo” es parte de un EP que poco a poco irá revelándose. Como hace referencia su nombre, ha tomado tiempo terminar cada pieza y hacer que el proyecto cobre vida, pero según el pensamiento del autor: “Hay que disfrutar el proceso y aplazar la meta. Se trata de que si haces algo, lo hagas bien, aunque te tome tiempo”.
El lanzamiento del video fue postergado varias veces, ya que la canción fue lanzada meses atrás. “Aunque muchos dirían que no tiene sentido, la realidad es que no existe una receta para alcanzar el éxito en esta industria. Si algo aprendí de toda esta experiencia es que los procesos creativos siempre son diferentes y debes de encontrar el tuyo, porque sólo así dará resultados. Para nosotros, lo que importa es que cuando lancemos algo, sea hecho con pasión y dedicación, y si toma más de lo planeado, dejaremos que suceda”; dijeron al respecto.
“Tiempo” es una canción que nació en pandemia, cuando Jaint sintió y analizó el efecto que tiene el tiempo sobre nosotros. La frase final que aparece en el video hace referencia a que debemos ser conscientes de nuestras decisiones, porque el planeta refleja lo que somos y el futuro es el resultado de lo que hacemos hoy.
En palabras de la representante, “Si algo me gusta del proyecto Jaint es que es multifacético. Lo que viene es muy diferente y fluye por lo que está pasando en el momento. Cuando estamos en el estudio, él no tiene miedo de explorar nuevos sonidos e incluso irse por otras líneas musicales.
Por ello es una mezcla de alternativo, synthpop, funk, dance, entre otros. Además, la realidad es que no le interesa ser un artista de redes, sino lograr transmitir su música de una manera más personal”.
El objetivo de los artistas independientes es poder compartir su arte sin limitaciones creativas. “Mi objetivo no es alcanzar la fama, sino alcanzar a las personas correctas, aquellas que disfruten de mi música y la hagan suya en el momento que deseen y a su manera”, concluyó Jaint.
