El puertorriqueño que se ha ganado el cariño de todos desde su último lanzamiento de EL ÚLTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO (2020) y el reciente sencillo «100 Millones» sigue manteniéndose activo. Ahora, con un poco más de publicidad de por medio -pues lanzó un pequeño teaser días previos-, la medianoche entre el jueves y viernes, Bad Bunny estrenó «Yonaguni«, un sencillo más que aúna a la faceta nostálgica y melancólica del reggaetonero.

El título de esta canción es tomado del nombre de una isla que compone el extenso archipiélago japonés, y este nombre tiene su por qué, siendo el vínculo perfecto para mostrar la contracultura del anime, lo kawaii y la estética aesthetic, abordando distintas temáticas desde referencias a Naruto, Pokémon y hasta la parte final cantada completamente cantada en japonés, y que en el video se muestra a Bad Bunny en forma de animación estilo anime.

La línea conceptual sigue la habitual de sus últimos sencillos: El duelo mental por sobrellevar la ausencia de alguien, buscando cómo distraerse, generar unas experiencias o relaciones, pero ninguna de ellas es suficiente para apaciguar los sentimientos nostálgicos de Bad Bunny.

El video fue producido por la gente de We Own The City, y dirigido por Stillz, director que también estuvo a cargo de «La Noche de Anoche«, el dueto del puertorriqueño y Rosalía.
