Recordemos que en el transcurso del año pasado lanzó cuatro trabajos discográficos donde no escatimó en secuencias sonoras en el disco colaborativo Las 3 Torres (2020) con Junior H y Ovi, ni adentrarse de lleno en el trap con Trap Tumbado (2020).
La presencia del requinto y las innecesarias colaboraciones
Algo que hacía falta en los trabajos de Natanael era un requinto notable, no era su fuerte, a comparación de otros compañeros del gremio, pues su visión iba más enfocada a mostrar el sonido clásico del corrido tumbado, a veces pegándole al corrido progresivo. A Mis 20 (2021) muestra esta mejoría instrumental: Requintos potentes y enérgicos junto a bases de bajo riquísimas y fuertísimas hacen de este álbum el más potente de la discografía del artista.
Hay ciertas canciones con rítmicas que se asemejan o tomaron inspiración del huapango, el claro ejemplo de esto son Sin Ti y Se Les Olvida, el sexto y tercer track del respectivamente. La afluencia cultural de Natanael se nota, pues además de mantener en movimiento tumbado, no se limita a solamente utilizar los recursos que él mismo dictaminó como propios del género, porque sí, Cano es el pionero y más grande referencia para hablar del corrido tumbado, eso a nadie le queda duda.
El único punto negativo que puedo notar de A Mis 20 (2021) es que las colaboraciones no van con este álbum. Me explico: A diferencia de anteriores trabajos, la unión hace la fuerza, pero a este punto veo innecesario que Cano colabore en un disco que, argumentalmente, comenzaba a ser personal e íntimo. Entiendo el punto que los colaboradores son amigos cercanos del intérprete, pero me encantaría que este fuese un álbum puro y enteramente de Natanael Cano para solamente escuchar su voz y así creerme el discurso personal en el que busca sustentarse.
El padre del corrido tumbado
Algo que he notado con el paso del tiempo desde el surgimiento de esta corriente musical y cultural por allá del 2019 con Corridos Tumbados Vol. I (2019) es que muy pocas veces se sale del molde ya pre concebido. Si bien, artistas del rubro como el ya mencionado Junior H, LEGADO 7, Herencia de Patrones, entre otros, tienen sus toques personales para encaminar su visión del género, ninguno ha significado tanto como Cano.
Lo anterior lo digo porque cada disco de Natanael Cano marca la pauta para lo que serán los próximos lanzamientos del género, como en su momento lo fue el álbum que inició todo, el ya mencionado Corridos Tumbados Vol. I (2019), Mi Nuevo Yo (2019) o Soy El Nata (2020). No sé qué tan malo pueda ser esto para el desarrollo autónomo del género y de los artista, porque que un solo exponente lleve las riendas del género me parece preocupante y limitante para los demás.
Sin embargo, el estilo pesado de A Mis 20 (2021) será replicado por su mejoría sonora e instrumental dentro del género, una frescura que tenía rato sin verse en el corrido contemporáneo desde Las 3 Torres (2020) y el magnífico Atrapado en un Sueño de Junior H (2020).
Renovación tumbada
Lo que hay que resaltar de A Mis 20 (2021) es que, a plena escuchada, y tomando en cuenta lo anteriormente dicho, el disco en sí toma el reto de ser la nueva pauta dentro del género, una que supone una necesaria renovación del mismo para evitar el estancamiento que generalmente sucede en este tipo de movimientos musicales que dependen completamente del modismo actual del colectivo cultural.
Por lo anterior, podemos concluir que el género se encuentra vivo aún, y le queda mucho por dar, y que Natanael Cano no permitirá que su exquisito sonido se vaya del consciente colectivo ni pierda autenticidad, pues su determinación es notable en cada disco que pasa.
Al final del día, A Mis 20 (2021) resulta un nuevo comienzo para Natanael Cano, para comenzar a experimentar desde un punto A nuevamente, con todo lo ya aprendido en estos dos años de arduo trabajo sin salir del estudio. Hasta el día de hoy, considero a A Mis 20 (2021) el punto más alto de la carrera de Cano en su faceta solista, y el segundo más importante del corrido tumbado en general, solo por detrás del Corridos Tumbados Vol. I (2019).
