«Sonámbulo», el primer capítulo de la nueva historia postapocalíptica de Porter
El misticismo de Porter volvió; hace un par de días, la banda inundó sus redes con mensajes cifrados, al principio parecía que era un hackeo a su cuenta, pero estos se hicieron recurrentes y mostraban datos en común. Hasta el día de hoy nadie a podido descifrar estos mensajes.
Luego de tanta espera, y ya sabiendo que sus redes no habían sido usurpadas, los tapatíos anunciaron el que sería su primer sencillo para presentar su quinto álbum de estudio. Esto ya era evidente desde hacía meses por las imágenes que compartían sus integrantes a través de sus historias de Instagram, donde se les veía en el estudio.
Sin preámbulos, el pasado 04 de mayo, Sonámbulo se estrenó, representando un nuevo comienzo para Porter. Recordemos que la pandemia cambió los planes de la banda, pues apenas se encontraban en media promoción de Las Batallas (2019), recién tocaron en el Teatro Diana, Vive Latino y se destinaban al Auditorio Nacional, obviamente este último no pudo darse.
Ante esto, la banda tuvo que adaptarse a esta nueva normalidad, a los cambios que trajo consigo todo este caos mundial y la diferente forma de ver el mundo en torno a esto. Y es justamente esto de lo que va Sonámbulo, pues representa una etapa postapocalíptica, expresando el cambio y segregación como humanos que hemos experimentado.
En lo sonoro, Sonámbulo está lleno de muestras electrónicas y sintetizadores, más presentes que en anteriores trabajos, dándole un ímpetu más futurista a este próximo disco. Aunque más que ver lo sonoro, el concepto de este álbum promete bastante, pues a partir del video podemos notar de qué irá este sexto trabajo: Lola, la protagonista del audiovisual, es forzada a evolucionar y sobrevivir en un nuevo mundo, uno que está regido por un nuevo orden mundial que contrala todos los aspectos de esta sociedad posmoderna.
