Sin conciertos otro año: Festivales alrededor del mundo posponen sus ediciones hasta 2022

Parecía que este año sería el que viera el regreso triunfal de los festivales masivos como los conocíamos hace apenas doce meses, pero tal parece que esto no será así.

A lo largo de estas últimas semanas, varios festivales, tanto nacionales como extranjeros, han anunciado la reprogramación de sus ediciones previstas primeramente para 2020, luego 2021 y ahora algún punto de 2022.

Algunos organizadores se han mostrado un poco más realistas argumentando que «aún no tienen fecha prevista, sino que será hasta que la situación sanitaria mundial mejore».

Se confirmó recientemente la nueva fecha del EDC México, pasando de abril hasta septiembre de este año, así como la doble edición del México Metal Fest a llevarse a cabo en noviembre y el Pa’l Norte también en ese mismo mes. Algunos otros festivales como el Bahidorá, Catrina y los innumerables conciertos en salas y auditorios también han dejado su fecha en un «veremos».

A rango internacional las cosas resultan un poco menos alentadoras para los que ya extrañamos la música en vivo, pues recientemente se anunció que Glastonbury pospondría hasta nuevo aviso su 50 aniversario, ejemplo que siguió del Coachella, quien reprogramó su fecha tres veces pero ahora no tenemos una definida.

Así fue como hoy por la mañana, Primavera Sound, el más grande e importante de España anunció que nuevamente pospondría su aniversario número 20 que tenía programado originalmente para junio de 2020, posteriormente para junio 2021 y ahora se deja en una fecha sin confirmar en algún punto del 2022. Obviamente le seguirá su homónimo con sede en Portugal.

En nuestro país, todo esto resulta más preocupante, pues con tres meses en la aplicación de vacunas, apenas se ha aplicado la dosis al 2% de la población nacional.
